Hello GWG Music families,
We are excited to present our first concerts of the 2021/2022 school year next week and our first concerts with a live audience since March 2020. On Wednesday, Oct 27th we will be presenting our Jr. Jazz Band, String Orchestra and Sr. Wind Ensemble and on Thursday, Oct 28th we will be presenting our Jr. Concert Band, Sr. Jazz Band and Concert Choir! Both concerts are at 7:00pm in the G.W. Graham Theatre
With the current restrictions in place, we are limited to 180 audience members in the theatre and therefore families will get the opportunity to request tickets (at no cost) to the concert of their choice. You will need to provide that ticket in order to enter the theatre, no one will be allowed entry without a ticket.
HOW TO GET TICKETS:
Send Mr. Monkman an email indicating the students name, the concert you would like to attend and how many tickets you would like. Students will then be given those tickets to take home and they must be presented at the night of the concert. We will not be holding any tickets at the door. On each ticket is a spot for name and phone number, please fill it out as we will be using the tickets as our contact tracing list if needed. Tickets can be picked up from Mr. Monkman after school of Thursday, October 21st.
Masks must be worn when entering the school as well as throughout the entire performance. We please ask that you abide by these 2 simple requests so we can continue to have in person concerts throughout the year.
For those who aren’t comfortable attending, have to work that night or who may live out of town, we will be once again providing an online stream of the performance. The stream can be found at https://www.twitch.tv/grahamtheatre and will remain online for approximately a week.
The students have been working incredibly hard these first 2 months and we are excited to share our music with you.
